Helpers! Share photos at our Facebook group

Are you or have you ever been a helper on a Newman Trust holiday?

If so, get over to Facebook and...

 a) join our Newman Holiday Trust Helpers' Facebook group (if you're not already a member)...

http://tinyurl.com/ngz9px

...and...

b) upload your Trust holiday photos there.

If your photos are on Picasa, there is a handy Facebook application that should help to copy them over easily: http://tinyurl.com/mdkfnu It looks like there might be similar applications for Flickr too.

We ask that you follow these rules:

- Please limit accessibility levels on any photos that include children, and do NOT tag children.

- Note that photos of some children may not be allowed due to lack of parental consent or due to the child being in care.
- Please ensure that photos are appropriate.
- Photos judged to be inappropriate will be removed.
- Please mark what holiday and which year each batch of photos is from, and give your name as the uploader.
- We will use the best photos at right here at www.newmantrust.org  We want to flood this website with fresh photos!

We’d appreciate it if you did a little bit of editing before you upload. You know that time when that child borrowed your camera and took twenty pictures of the carpet? Delete, please. Thanks!

So… which holiday has the best photos?

The Great Swim Challenge 2010

Newman Trust iron man Ian "Dave" Davis has thrown down another challenge to raise much-needed funds for the Trust...

You can either join him or (at the very least!) sponsor him at Justgiving:  http://bit.ly/9oArlL

Dave says:

"The Trust is in some serious need of funds this year in particular, so the team will have to dig deep to do something to impress.

Our team are aiming to complete 10 of the South Coast's classic swims in one season:

East to West, the 10 swims are:

1. Clacton Pier to Holland

2. Eastbourne Pier to Marina

3. Brighton Pier to Pier

4. Brighton Pier to Marina (and back)

5. Stokes Bay (No 2 Battery to Gilkicker Point)

6. Crossing the Solent (Yarmouth to Lymington)

7. Brownsea Island Swim (twice round)

8. Bournemouth Pier to Pier

9. Durdle Dor, Man 'o' War Bay and Lulworth Cove

10. Burgh Island

Where safe, we will attempt to complete the swims without wetsuits. We'll tick each swim off and photos of each swim will be updated here so you can see all the shades of blue we turn.

Please give generously. This year we really do need all the funding we can raise."
